I REALLY LIKE THIS!

It shows that you have the concept of composition in your work. you can add emphasis and drama by adding or taking away from the piece as far as instrumentation, melody, and over all phrasing.

This concept was demonstrated in this piece when you started with a melody, and then added upon it.

That is impressive.

Good job!

Oh yeah, this song really came out around 0:22. I felt like the devil was licking me. lol.

Your concept is absolutely awesome! The application of the idea is what I really think needs work here.

I am not a "professional" producer, but I am still working on it, and I have a few tips for you.

1. I think you should mix in mono, but in general, you should finalize or master in stereo. Left and Right channels with SEPARATE performances. If you want to know what I mean by that, PM me.

The low end seems kind of non-existent in this recording, and I know that is kind of common in "some types of metal", because everyone loves a really heavy metal guitar sound. We can thank James Hetfield for that lol.

2. Learn to use your EQ. PLEASE google it.

I recommend Graham at therecordingrevolution.com for advice, also Rick Beato on youtube is just a fountain of knowledge.

I see potential in your work. I really do. I wouldn't waste my time writing all of this crap if I didn't lol.

but anyway..... bye.

I have nothing really negative to say about the piece other than the limiter being a bit too rough.

It could be cleaner, but maybe that was your intent to make it "rough" and "loud"

Nice grooves. Great mix. I have nothing negative to say about this.

I like the fact you chose the piano, it is a very versatile instrument, but I can't really say I liked this piece very much at all.

There was no main melody line, the piano was not EQed at all as far as I can tell, and it almost sounds like you used some sort of randomizer on a sequencer to write the piece.

If that is the case, you probably spent maybe like... 5 minutes on this, and really didn't use any of your creativity whilst doing so.

This is great! This instrumentation is good for a motivational revenge story. It was all buda dun bah dah doh..... well you know.. you wrote it...

This is perfect for a vidja game!

I love your work, your master settings are off the chain!

Look at those crests and troughs!

Would love to learn your technique. I dun nae know how to do that yet.

Thanks! I had no idea either, I just keep poking at it until I got it lol.
When it comes to mastering its just a lot of hard work and attention to detail. push the song as loud as it can go without clipping and without squeezing the tops out, then hunt down the frequencies that hurt until the song stops hurting. lol. Thats it on the surface really.

Love the groove at 1:45; so beautiful.

HOLY CARP I USED A SEMICOLON! sorry. <~_~>
